The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) recovered Rs10 million and arrested on Friday 25 thieves in Gujranwala.

The agency began its operation in March and closed it in April.

The 25 suspects belong to 10 groups and were arrested from the Kamoke, Wazirabad and Nowshera Virkan villages in Gujranwala.

The CIA recovered cars, buffaloes, jewelry and cash from their possession. The items and cash were returned to their owners who had registered cases.

The suspects sold the jewelry and household items at half price, Gujranwala CIA DSP Imran Abbas said.
