The body of Li Jinqiang, a Chinese national who disappeared from an Islamabad supermarket on April 15, has been found in drain in Iqbal Town, police said Friday.
The police said that there were bruises on his head. His body has been taken to a polyclinic for an autopsy.
Mr Jinqiang came to Pakistan a month ago, the officials said. One of his friends lodged a complaint in Kohsar police station after he went missing on April 15.
The complaint said that Jinqiang didn’t know the local language and had no cell phone. He, however, had a passport and money.
Police officials said that his body would be sent to China after completing medico-legal formalities.
