The fight will be taken to Islamabad if efforts are made to interfere with the 18th Amendment, says Bilawal Bhutto.

The PPP chairperson was speaking to a public gathering attended by thousands in Ghotki on Friday.

The government isn’t eradicating unemployment, but the poor, he said, adding that there will be consequences if the government attempts to bring in the One Unit system.

“If you try to play with the 18th amendment there will be ‘Dama Dam Mast Qalandar’ in the country,” said Bilawal.

He complained of his party not being given a level playing field ‘like always’ in the general elections. He made several accusations against the PTI government and criticised its policies.

"They want to do away with the 18th Amendment slowly and gradually, and want to usurp the rights of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa," he alleged.

He lamented that the dollar, which was once traded at Rs100, was not being exchanged for Rs142.

"The puppet [PM Imran Khan] had claimed to provide 10 million jobs, but today the youngsters are complaining about unemployment," Bilawal said, adding that the government deprived the people of shelter in the name of an anti-encroachment drive.

Last week, Bilawal had threatened to knock down the government if it tries to roll back the 18th Amendment.

He made the warning while addressing a public gathering on the 40th death anniversary of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bux.

In a fiery speech, the PPP chairperson had said the party will not tolerate any move to impose a One Unit system in the country.

He criticised the PTI government over several of its policies.
