Former MQM Pakistan leader Dr Farooq Sattar demanded formation of new administrative units in Sindh.
“The entire province has a right to the resources that Karachi has,” said Sattar, during his interview on SAMAA TV’s programme Naya Din on Monday. “But, it is essential to form the administrative units in the province.”
There should be a Greater Sindh Council as it will help accelerate the pace of growth in the province, he said.
The former Karachi mayor reiterated his resolve to re-constitute the 1984-like MQM.
Dr Sattar also praised Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Mustafa Kamal. The MQM convener, Dr Siddiqui, is a better person, he said. The former Karachi mayor is a good administrator and there are no corruption allegations against him, he lauded Kamal.
It is due to the inefficiency of MQM that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf got space in Karachi, he said.
