Woman, three children died in Toba Tek Singh after inhaling ‘poisonous’ spray, reveals autopsy

The police found their bodies on Saturday

A woman and her three daughters died in Toba Tek Singh's Rajana after inhaling a poisonous spray, revealed the post-mortem report on Sunday. 

Fifty-year-old Naseem Bibi, and her daughters Razia Bibi, 16, Khadeeja Bibi, 10, and eight-year-old Ayesha were found dead at their house on Saturday morning. Sheikh Muhammad Riaz, Naseem's husband, told the police that he had a fight with his wife over their daughter's engagement. He said that his wife fed poison to their children and then consumed it herself.

ASP Shoaib Memon said that they are investigating if Razia Bibi poisoned her family after her engagement got called off. "There have been no signs of violence on the bodies," he told SAMAA TV.

A case has been registered at the Rajana police station.
