Two injured after NATO oil tanker overturns in Chaman

Residents of the area used containers and dishes to steal the oil

A Nato oil tanker overturned on Friday on the Pak-Afghan Highway at Chaman, injuring two people. 

Residents of the area gathered at the accident site and began stealing the oil that leaked from the tanker using dishes and containers.

The oil tanker was travelling from Karachi to Afghanistan via Balochistan’s Chaman to supply oil to Nato forces.

According to security forces, the vehicle was speeding and its brakes failed, causing it to tip over.

The tanker’s driver and cleaner were injured in the accident and taken to Civil Hospital where doctors say they are out of danger.
