He is accused of illegal constructions in Karachi

The Sindh government has reappointed a Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) officer who was suspended on charges of illegal constructions in Karachi.

SBCA Assistant Director Owais Hussain was suspended on February 22. However, he was reappointed 19 days after his suspension.

In the latest order by the provincial government, he was appointed to Jamshed Town Zone-II.

Hussain is accused of having illegal structures built in different areas, including Tariq Road, PECHS Block-II and Mehmoodabad.

Senior SBCA officers have raised concerns over his reappointment and Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani’s silence on the matter.
