Orders the establishment of a special task force for those suffering from domestic violence

The Sindh government has failed to implement the laws relating to domestic violence against women, the Sindh High Court said on Thursday.

It ordered the establishment of a special task force at the district-level for those affected by domestic violence. The court directed the affected women to be referred to the relevant magistrate.

Judicial magistrates have been told to address complaints of domestic violence by the women in their areas.

It also sought details of orphanages and shelter homes and directed that funds be released in this regard.
