Residents of five countries can now get visas on arrival in Pakistan

Prime Minister Imran Khan launched a visa on arrival policy for five countries — Turkey, China, Malaysia, the UK and the UAE — on Thursday.

The e-visa service has been developed by NADRA in three months and is similar to the systems in the US and UK.

The application consists of three steps. The first step includes submission of visa fees, applicant’s information and documents. The second stage is processing of the application and in the last phase, the e-visa will be issued.

The government plans to provide this online visa facility to the residents of over 175 countries.

“The government has opened Pakistan to boost tourism in the country,” Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said in January. Pakistan is a paradise for tourists, he told the media during a briefing in Islamabad. However, he said after 1965, tourism in the country dwindled.

On January 26, Pakistan updated its visa policy and the government granted visas on arrival to travellers from 50 countries.

Get the services up in running first then announce, as your embassies have no idea what you talking about “visa on Arrival” clearly disconnection between the policy maker and the policy executors.

It seems on media but practically no one is there to assist. I don’t want to go to the airport and then refused boarding. It is frustrating
