An accountability court in Lahore extended PTI leader Aleem Khan’s judicial remand till April 2.
During the hearing on Monday, Khan’s lawyer argued that a reference had not been filed against him yet. However, the NAB prosecutor countered that the final report against him was being finalised.
Khan was presented before the court on the expiry of his judicial remand. He was sent to jail on March 5 after the court dismissed NAB’s appeal to extend his physical remand in their custody.
He is accused of owning assets beyond his known means of income and operating offshore companies illegally. He was arrested by NAB on February 6 and subsequently resigned as Punjab’s local government minister.
