No hard fillings: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi thinks President Arif Alvi is a ‘brilliant’ dentist

Former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was at his witty best when he spoke about his equation with President Arif Alvi on a TV show recently.

On March 19, Abbasi’s son shared a clip of the PML-N leader speaking on Hum News. Abbasi said that Arif Alvi used to be his dentist. “I remember I went to see him after I chipped a tooth in 1998 and he gave me the best advice.”

He asked me if I have any pain. I said no. He said that he won’t treat me because there is nothing better than what you get from God. Dr Alvi said that two of my teeth will be wasted in order to extract the chipped tooth. “It has been more 20 years and that tooth hasn’t bothered me.”

He was an amazing dentist and I hope he proves to be a good president too, he remarked.

Abbasi then shared that he was speaking on Nadeem Malik’s show once when the president was quite angry. “I said that I used to show him my teeth once, and now he is showing me teeth,” he remarked.
