Former military dictator General (retired) Pervez Musharraf has been shifted to a hospital in Dubai after his condition suddenly worsened Saturday night, his party said on Sunday.
Afzaal Siddiqui, the APML overseas president, told reporters that Musharraf had suffered a reaction from amyloidosis, a rare condition for which Musharraf has been receiving medical treatment.
He is expected to be discharged by Monday (today), Siddiqui said.
Musharraf, who had been indicted on March 31, 2014 for suspending the constitution on November 3, 2007, left for Dubai in March 2016 to seek medical treatment. Musharraf had said in the past that he will return to Pakistan once his health gets stabilised.
