The warehouse of a cotton factory on Faisalabad’s Sheikhupura Road was engulfed in flames on Friday. As of 3 pm, the fire has still not been extinguished.

The fire caught workers' attention when cotton was being offloaded from trucks at the warehouse. The fire department has not been able to control the blaze and the intensity of the fire is increasing. The fire brigade reached the scene with four fire tenders.

According to rescue officials, only 10% of the flames had been brought under control by 2 pm. The fire brigade vehicles are, however, still at the site to douse the flames.

Rescue teams also broke the walls of the warehouse. No casualties have been reported. However, cotton worth millions has been burnt.

The flames were visible from afar and smoke from the incident has left the residents of the area worried.

According to the owner of the factory, the reason behind the fire has not been determined yet.
