A fire erupted on the sixth floor of the FTC building on Karachi’s Sharae Faisal early Sunday morning.
It was doused after four hours with the help of 10 fire tenders and two snorkels, according to the fire department.
The fire erupted at the office of National Bank, said Chief Fire Officer Tehsin Ahmed Siddiqui.
The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained
When asked about the delay in dousing the fire, Siddiqui said that first fire tenders were sent but the firefighters realised that they couldn’t douse the fire on their own.
“It takes us some time to dispatch fire trucks because there are only 24 fire stations in the city,” he said.
