Muhammad Irfan has admitted to his crime
A man killed his wife in Karachi’s Azam Basti in Mahmoodabad on Monday over the suspicion that she was having an affair, the police confirmed.
The suspect, identified as Muhammad Irfan, strangled his wife Nida. He then threw the body into a water tank and escaped from Karachi.
Irfan admitted to his crime and said that he killed her because she used to talk to a man on the mobile phone regularly, according to the police. He said that he stopped his wife from talking to strangers many times, but she never listened to him.
“Nida’s body was recovered after the newly shifted tenants complained of water shortage and checked the tank,” said Mehmodabad’s Investigations In-charge Yameen Gujjar.
A case has been filed against the accused murderer.
