Extending Holi greetings to the Hindus in Sindh in advance, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced to release the salaries of government employees who are Hindu before March 20.

Hindus will celebrate Holi on March 20. The chief minister issued directives to the finance department to release salaries to the Hindu employees before March 20.

Meanwhile, the University of Sindh, Jamshoro issued a circular on Saturday allowing students to celebrate the Holi festival on Monday (March 18).

The circular noted that students can celebrate “all activities within the premises of their institute/ department” and that “no weapon is allowed.”

Holi is celebrated every year in February or March and signifies new beginnings – leaving behind winter and welcoming spring.
