A man opened fire and shot his friend dead in Gujrat’s Chiragpura on Friday because he was playing music too loudly.
The police have arrested the suspect and another man and filed a case against them.
The man who opened fire, Saqlain, said that he and the other accused, Nafees, went to their friend Ali Hassan’s house. Ali was playing music very loudly and we asked him to stop but he wouldn’t listen, he said. He said Nafees pulled out a gun and Saqlain grabbed it, thinking it was not loaded, and fired.
“I thought it was empty. It was a mistake,” he told the police. The authorities have begun an investigation.
Ali’s body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination was completed.
