Gas leak kills two labourers at Lahore factory

Seven people have been shifted to the hospital

Two labourers were killed after a gas leak at a factory in Lahore’s Shafiqabad early Thursday morning.

Seven people fell unconscious and have been shifted to Mayo Hospital.

The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Imran and 28-year-old Safdar. They were from Pakpattan and Muzzafargarh respectively.

The police have arrested the factor owner for not ensuring safety precautions were taken at the factory.

On November 15, 2018, six workers were killed after a kiln exploded at the Atlas Honda factory in Karachi’s Landhi.

The kiln exploded due to very high gas pressure.
