Four-year-old girl killed as fire engulfs slum in Karachi

Two people were injured

A child died in a fire at her hut in shanty town near NIPA Chowrangi in Karachi on Thursday. Two people were also injured.

Several huts were gutted in fire while many were partially damaged.

Four-year-old Fatima had already been severely burnt by the time the fire brigade reached the scene. She died before reaching the hospital.

Four vehicles of the fire brigade were used to douse the blaze. The cooling process has been completed too.

The injured were shifted to Jinnah hospital.
