Foreign investors to be offered business friendly environment, PM tells Mitsubishi delegation


A delegation of the Mitsubishi Corporation, headed by Mitsubishi Corporation Senior Vice President Kimihide Ando called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday.

Ando was accompanied by Atsushi Fujii, the Country Head in Pakistan, Kenichiro Hirai, the General Manager, Kosuke Makino, the CEO- Tabeer Energy Pvt Ltd and Yasir Mukhtar. Adviser to Prime Minister Abdul Razzak Dawood, Energy Task Force Chairperson Nadeem Babar and senior officials were also present during the meeting.

Ando briefed the PM about the long association of the Mitsubishi Corporation with Pakistan spanning over six decades in which it has undertaken profitable business ventures in the country. He said that the company is encouraged by the business friendly policies of the present government and intends to further strengthen its footprint especially in meeting energy requirements of the country.

He also conveyed to PM Khan that the Government of Japan has decided to increase its engagement with Pakistan and support Japanese companies in increasing investment in Pakistan.

The PM welcomed the decision of the Government of Japan and the interest of the Mitsubishi Corporation to explore greater business opportunities in the country. He highlighted various measures and the steps being taken to ensure a business friendly environment to the foreign investors and improving ease of doing business in the country.
