The National Accountability Bureau summoned on Friday former president Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on March 20 in the fake accounts case.
NAB Rawalpindi has sent notices to the two PPP leaders in this regard. The notice asked them both to appear in NAB Rawalpindi’s Islamabad office.
They are to appear before the JIT team investigating the case. Sources say Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will be summoned next.
Earlier today, a Karachi banking court approved NAB’s request to have the fake accounts case transferred to an accountability court.
The verdict was initially reserved. The court announced its ruling in NAB’s favour Friday morning.
