Police seizes the bus while the driver is on the run

A 17-year-old boy was crushed to death Tuesday after he tried to catch a moving bus on Samundri Road, Faisalabad.

He died after he was hit by the bus, the police said. CCTV footage showed that the bus was at high speed and did not stop for him.

“The boy ran to catch the bus, but couldn’t get a hold of the bus’ handle,” an eyewitness said.

The deceased was identified as Mamnoon Haider. He was a student of FEC Pre-Engineering from Samanabad College. He was coming back from college.

It was Haider’s fault as he should have seen the bus was overloaded with passengers, said the police.

The bus was seized but the driver flee the scene. Police say they are looking for the driver.
