An anti-polio campaign in Balochistan’s Chaman is targeting adults as well as children this time around.
The campaign, which started on Monday, aims to vaccinate adults who travel abroad. Most people being targeted in the campaign are involved in trade or other professions that require them to travel abroad.
After getting vaccinated, they will be issued cards.
The campaign was inaugurated by Chaman Additional Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti. He told SAMAA TV that along with children, they want to vaccinate adults because the poliovirus can be transmitted by them.
We are targeting all people travelling abroad, he explained.
