Noted religious cleric Maulana Tariq Jameel was shifted to a private hospital in Lahore after he complained of chest pain on Tuesday.
He underwent an angioplasty in which a stent was inserted in his heart to clear blockage of the arteries. Doctors have termed his condition stable.
Jameel returned on Monday night after a trip to Canada. He had complained of feeling sick ever since he returned.
Currently, Jameel has been shifted to a room in Doctors Hospital for recovery.
