Here’s a list of Islamabad housing societies being constructed without CDA’s approval

Is your society included in the list?

Many housing societies are being constructed in Islamabad without the approval of the Capital Development Authority.

In a report on December 28, it was revealed that only one out of 44 housing societies in Zone 2, Zone 5, and E-11 got its no objection certificate from the development authority.

Below is the list of all the societies which failed to get the approval:

The Supreme Court ordered cancellation of the layout of 11 societies, including six in Zone 2 and five in Zone 5. The plan for any society cannot be approved without the permission of the planning division, according to the building control department.

    What does it mean to get the NOC from CDA. These societies can not sell the property or what?

      Societies cannot openly sell without formal approvals. Still majority projects sell in market without newspaper ads, and everybody knows that. If they advertise, cda will send notices to. Them and seal their offices. Cda simply means “dont advertise on media, sell privately”

      Bahria enclave lies in zone 4. Its also not approved. Rest of bahria falls in rawalpindi, partially approved.

    Ridiculous, the approving authorities should be swear charged with confess on media publicly. Government has to approve law for public sale, purchase. Otherwise it will remain same for wealthy persons and rest have to survive for their generations.

    It’s Completely CDA’S Fault. They were not concerned when the construction started. Now when the economy is down and they want money they are raising these issues. People who have bought homes in these societies, what’s their fault.

      Pakistan Town phase 2 is located on fateh jang road near tarnol phatak.

    This PTI govt. is equally responsible for bad governance and decision making. Instead of doing their job, they are busy playing the blame game and making the life of people more miserable. Plz. dont test a common man’s patience. If he comes on the street you will not be able to stop them. Such people who have made money by ripping innocent people should be awarded severe punishment and should be made to beg forgiveness in public. We all know how CDA, FBR and the govt. are playing with sentiments of masses.

    CDA and such other Authorities are responsible for such fraud and corruption. Such unauthorized schemes did not build in a months or so. It took decades to establish the societies.
    ALL such responsible to put on trial and should be given exemplary punishments.

      Jinnah garden Phase 1 is approved, phase 2 is illegal.

    I think cancellation of registrations of the illegal societies will give a pretext to the violators. For example i bought two files of Parlimentarian Enclave. The owner of this scheme is ex-senator Mr. Ayaz Mandokhel. More than 10 years have passed ayaz has not any develpment and my money is stuck. do I have any recourse to recover my hard earned money.     I think Multi professional cooperative society B-17 is the only one among the 44 which got the NOC from CDA.

    What is doing this government, they are incompetent and have no experience to carry forward departments to the right direction. In the CDA website they ammended new list for in authorized housing societies in zone 2 and 5. Can anybody have the old list of cda in which they approved many societies and now shows un authorized.we should go to supreme court for our right against cda that they are making frauds and shows new list with changes which differ from the old list of legal status of societies.

    It is a mega corruption, where was cda at the time of development of these societies. Why cda didn’t stop to make societies. Why they issued gas and electricity connections at that time. All relevant cda personel should be called for a reasonable answer. All happened with the due consent of cda.

    Its society scams, first you buy the file or land, pay huge amount, after sometime you came to know this is not approved and do not qualify to get the NOC, Govt. now only interested to take money like gain tax on selling within 3 years, and other taxs and fees imposed on buyers but on the name of facility nothing is given, no protection, there should be general law to be introduced for such societies, and make sure if buyer not able to get the land due to failed to get NOC from authorities on any stage they have to pay back the whole amount.

    I suggest, once a society is declared illegal, all the facilities like gas, electricity, water and ptcl landline connections should not be provided by gov’t.
    Every one knows about G-12 sector. Ppl living there are illegal. But they are enjoying all the facilities because the gov’t has provided them. Now they claim, they are the permanent residents of G-12.

    I bought plots i Tele Town Private Limited in the year 2006 on instalments. When i paid full payments the management asked me to send your original documents so that they could send me all the documents accordingly. I sent them all the original papers because one of the employees Mr. Amir Abassi was in touch with me on telephone. When i send all the original papers to them they send me the papers showing only the payment of Land whereas when i bought the plots it was mentioned in it that the development charges are inclusive in the papers. It is for the public at large that they should not return their original papers to the Management. Rashad Munawar Advocate High Court

    It’s very easy to declare illegal, where was CDA administration the time people constructed homes. You know by this you destroying future of poor people. Not so easy to build once in lifetime.

    Hi. i am usman. we purchased a plot in Royal City near Thanda Paani Islamabad couple of years ago.

    we just constructed a ground floor coz there are almost 300 houses and more than 1000 people are living over there.

    we just received a letter from Atomic energy they warn us not to do any construction otherwise they will demolish it.

    i just wana know what should we have to do in this scenario. if anyone had a same kind of issue please call me and tell me how you get it sorted.
