There will be no compromise on the accountability process: PM Khan

He held a meeting with Fawad Chaudhry on Monday

The process of accountability in Pakistan won’t be compromised at any cost, said Prime Minister Imran Khan.

PM Khan held a meeting with Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Monday. The two agreed to strengthen the system of accountability.

The meeting was held hours before an accountability court announced the verdict on the Al Azizia and Flagship references against Nawaz Sharif. Ever since PM Khan came into power, he has stressed on ensuring accountability of all political leaders and vowed not to give anyone an NRO.

The accountability process should be quick and effective if the country wants to progress, he said.

Shahzad Akbar, the special assistant to the prime minister on accountability, attended the meeting too. He briefed them on the cases being heard in courts.
