State Minister for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi took notice on Tuesday of the beating up of SAMAA TV cameraman outside parliament and asked the Islamabad IG to submit a report on the case.

“This is Pakistan's commitment to all its citizens that the law will be equal for all," he said while addressing media in Islamabad. “Be it a journalist or a common man, no one is authorised to take the law into his/her own hands.”

The minister said those who were involved in this unfortunate incident would be taken to task.
