Government lifts ban on licences for automatic weapons

Interior ministry has issued a notification

The government has removed the ban on licences for all prohibited bore weapons, through which automatic weapons are registered.

The interior ministry has issued a notification on Friday. All old arms licences have been reinstated too.

On December 28, 2017, the previous government had suspended the licences. The owners were given till January 15 to submit their weapons or get them replaced.
