Today’s outlook: Last day for candidates to woo voters, Karachi police want to see more helmets

Here is some of the news we’re following today, Friday.

  • It’s the last day for by-election candidates to campaign before the polls on October 14. Political parties are gearing up for the by-polls and holding corner meetings and rallies as a final try to woo voters.
  • The former vice-chancellor of the University of Punjab, Mujahid Kamran, and four other officials, including the varsity’s registrar, will be presented before an accountability court.
    ICYMI: Kamran was arrested on October 11 for illegal appointments during his tenure as VC and corruption.
  • The Karachi traffic police are launching their campaign to ensure all motorcyclists wear helmets.
