Lt General Asim Munir appointed ISI chief

The appointment of seven lieutenant generals was announced

Lieutenant General Asim Munir has been appointed director general of the ISI, according to ISPR, the military’s public relations wing.

He will be replacing Lt General Naveed Mukhtar.  The appointment of seven other lieutenant generals was also announced in a press release issued on Wednesday morning.

Lt General Azhar Saleh Abbasi has been appointed chief of logistics staff at GHQ in Rawalpindi, while Lt General Nadeem Zaki has been appointed commander of the Mangla Corps.

Lt General Shaheen Mazher has been appointed commander of the Peshawar Corps and Lt General Abdul Aziz military secretary at GHQ. The new vice chief of general staff is Lt General Muhammad Adnan while Lt General Waseem Ashraf has been appointed inspect general of arms.
