Former University of Punjab VC Mujahid Kamran arrested

The former vice-chancellor of the University of Punjab was arrested on Thursday.

Mujahid Kamran had appeared before the National Accountability Bureau at its office in a corruption case.

He is accused of hiring people illegally and granting contracts to undeserving companies.

He will be presented before an accountability court on Friday.

On October 5, National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif was arrested from the NAB office for his involvement in the Ashiana housing scheme. He is currently in the accountability bureau’s custody.
