Prime Minister Imran Khan met on Sunday Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Saudi Information Minister Dr Awwad Alawwad in separate meetings.
Wang Yi headed a three-member Chinese delegation that visited the prime minister and congratulated him on becoming the country’s premier.
He said that Pak-China friendship is strong and expressed his hope for its future. They also discussed CPEC and its importance. Both expressed their commitment to completing CPEC.
Wang Li conveyed Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang’s invitation to Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit China.
Prime Minister Imran Khan thanked the foreign minister and accepted the invitation. He said China has an important place in Pakistan’s foreign policy and that the new government will work towards the swift completion of CPEC and its related projects.
During his meeting with Dr Alawwad, Prime Minister Imran Khan was informed that the Saudi government wants to work with the newly elected Pakistani government.
We value our relations with Saudi Arabia, said the premier, adding that the two countries have a very strong relationship.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry were present during both meetings.
