PM Imran Khan, COAS, Zardari offer condolences to Sharif family

Prime Minister Imran Khan has offered his condolence to the Sharif family following the death of former PM Nawaz Sharif’s wife, Kulsoom Nawaz.

Kulsoom Nawaz passed away on Tuesday after a prolonged illness.

Khan remarked that the government will provide all facilities to the family according to the law.

“She was a courageous woman of great dignity and confronted her disease with fortitude,” the PM tweeted. “My condolences and prayers go to the Sharif family.”

The Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa also extended his heartfelt condolence.

“May Allah bless the departed soul eternal peace at Heaven”, he remarked.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi remarked that he has instructed the Pakistani High Commission in London to facilitate the bereaved family in every way.

Pakistan People Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former president Asif Ali Zardari also condoled with the Sharif family.

Bilawal remarked that Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was a very brave woman.

PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan also posted a message on Twitter.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Syed Raza Ali Abidi asked for early bail for Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar on humanitarian grounds.

“May Allah grant her Eternal Paradise and give her loved ones the strength to cope with the tragic loss. Ameen,” he wrote on Twitter.

Former Pakistan Cricket Board chairperson Najam Sethi also expressed his grief.

Others who shared their condolences on social media include PSP’s Mustafa Kamal, JI’s Sirajul Haq and PPP’s Shehla Raza and Sharmila Faruqi.
