Two people were injured while trying to extinguish a fire that erupted in an oil tanker at an oil depot in the Taru Jabba area of Nowshera district. Two people were injured while trying to extinguish a fire that erupted in an oil tanker at an oil depot in the Taru Jabba area of Nowshera district.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Faizi said that the injured people, the driver and conductor of the tanker, were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar.

He said that the fire engulfed five more oil tankers due to a blast in the first tanker, adding that around 40 rescue workers were trying to control the fire.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, said Faizi, adding that the tankers had were full of oil and had been parked at the depot to be emptied.
