Two students were killed in a police encounter in Faisalabad on Wednesday night. The boys — Usman and Arsalan — had just passed their Matric exams two weeks before.
Their relatives staged a protest outside the Allied Hospital, where the boys’ bodies were being kept, and appealed to the government to look into the case.
They blocked the street and began to shout slogans against the police. The authorities had claimed that the boys were robbers and that they fired at the police first.
Usman’s father is a police constable himself. He said that if it turns out that his son was involved in robberies, he will drop the case.
