Ahsan Iqbal said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech sounded like that of a chief minister
The cabinet that took oath today is the same as General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s, said PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal on Monday.
“Imran Khan said all those things that are already written in the PTI’s manifesto,” he said. “But the cabinet that took oath today is the same as General (retd) Musharraf’s. We have already experienced this cabinet and there is nothing new about it. Expecting a 'Naya Pakistan' from these tried and tested faces is like living in a fool’s paradise.”
Iqbal said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech sounded like that of a chief minister. He said that the PM did not offer any tangible strategy on terrorism, extremism, foreign policy or Kashmir.
The federal cabinet took oath on Monday at the President House. Cabinet members who served under Gen (retd) Musharraf in various capacities include Farogh Naseem, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Zubeida Jalal, Fawad Chauhdry, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, Shafqat Mehmood, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Abdul Razak Dawood, Dr Ishrat Hussain and Amin Aslam.
