Jam Kamal of the Balochistan Awami Party has been elected chief minister of the province with 39 votes.

His opponent, Younus Aziz Zehri of the MMA got 20 votes.

On Thursday, the party’s Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was elected speaker of the Balochistan Assembly with 39 votes. The PTI’s Babar Musakhel was elected deputy speaker with 36 votes.
