PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz filed on Saturday an intra-court appeal challenging the Supreme Court verdict that declared him guilty of contempt of court.
The verdict resulted in him being disqualified him from holding public office for five years. He was handed the sentence for his controversial speeches and statements made on television shows.
In his appeal, the PML-N leader said he never mentioned a judge or court in his speeches. He said there is no evidence of him insulting the court.
Aziz requested that the sentence be overturned.
