An anti-terrorism court indicted on Thursday MQM’s Ahsan Iqbal and Raees Mama in the murders of four Haqiqi faction workers.
Hammad Siddiqui, Manzoor alias Lamba and two other leaders were declared absconders in the case.
The suspects have pleaded not guilty.
Police say the accused carried out the murders on party founder Altaf Hussain’s direction. On January 29, 2012, the accused attacked a cab in Sharafi Goth, said police officials. According to them, Siddiqui, Mama and their accomplices opened fire.
The court issued notices to the investigation officer and witnesses.
