Anwar Majeed’s son taken to Jinnah hospital after complaining of stomach pains

Abdul Ghani Majeed, the son of Omni Group head Anwar Majeed, has been taken to Jinnah hospital for stomach pains. He and his father were arrested by the FIA in a money laundering case on August 15.

Abdul Ghani was taken to the hospital on August 26 night after complaining of pain in his stomach.

JPMC Executive Director Seemin Jamali said all his tests had been conducted and the decision on whether to admit him to the hospital will be made after the test results come in.

Anwar and his son are being investigated in connection to money laundering of Rs35 billion through fake bank accounts at three local banks.

On Sunday, August 26, a sugar mill in Badin was raided on information provided by Abdul Ghani.
