Six govt servants arrested in Sanghar for opening postal ballot papers

An FIR has been registered against 17 government servants in Sindh’s Sanghar for opening postal ballot papers in NA-216.

The police have evidence that these 17 people, including a presiding officer, opened the postal ballot papers, which are not supposed to be opened till the end of polling on July 25.

Six people have been arrested so far, of whom four are women.

Government servants, including ECP staff, cast their votes earlier than ordinary citizens via postal ballots.

Among the people against whom an FIR has been registered is PPP leader Shazia Marri’s private secretary.
