The leaders and workers of the PML-N will gather at Lahore’s Lohari Gate at 3pm and leave for the airport to welcome Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

Shehbaz Sharif, the PML-N president, has instructed party supporters to reach the airport directly, if they are not allowed to organize a rally.

Maryam and her father Nawaz Sharif are returning to Pakistan on July 13 after they were sentenced to seven and 10 years in prison respectively by an accountability court in the Avenfield properties case.

Captain (retd) Safdar, Maryam’s husband who was sentenced to one-year in prison, has already been arrested by NAB from Rawalpindi and was shifted to Adiala Jail.

Talal Chaudhry, a Sharif loyalist, said the people have seen his party’s power show in Rawalpindi on July 8.

Mr Chaudhry said the PML-N will challenge the verdict against the Sharif family both legally and politically.

The party leadership has tasked the local leaders to gather the supporters and instructed them to mobilize workers in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura and Kasur.
