The Supreme Court has taken notice of a firing incident involving Nadeem Abbas, a recently elected PTI MPA from Lahore, and the chief justice has ordered that he be arrested within 24 hours.

While hearing a case at the SC’s Lahore Registry, Chief Justice Saqib Nisar also ordered that his name be added to the Exit Control List.

A case has been registered against Abbas and 30 accomplices. The chief justice ordered that anti-terrorism clauses be included in the case.

The Punjab police IG informed the court that the FIR has been registered and many of the accomplices have been arrested.

His supporters fired in the air to celebrate his win in PP-161, Lahore. When the police arrived, Abbas’s supporters attacked the policemen and SHO.

Three policemen were injured in the incident.

In a clarification video, Abbas accused the SHO of targeting him. He said he had always targeted Abbas and his workers and faked the incident to discredit him.
