PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif said that the ECP hasn’t announced official or unofficial results of elections in Lahore even 5 hours after polling ended.

He claimed that his candidates were not given Form-45. “I haven’t seen such a dangerous situation in my whole political career.”

“The party candidates have complained that their polling agents were removed from polling stations,” he claimed.

“It is an insult to the mandate of millions of people,” Mr. Sharif said. “It is unacceptable.”

The PML-N President said blatant violations of electoral laws were reported from all over the country and we won’t accept them.

“We reject the results,” he said. “We can’t accept the result.”

Mr. Sharif said he has convened a meeting of PML-N core committee tomorrow and they would finalize party’s strategy to record its protest over irregularities in the elections.

“Other parties have also expressed similar concerns,” he added, saying that he would contact them and make a united front to get their grievances addressed.

“It is rigging,” Mr. Sharif said, refusing to accept the outcome of the elections.

According to initial results, Imran Khan’s PTI has emerged as the largest political party in the parliament.

“It is the dirtiest elections in the history of Pakistan,” said another leader Mushahid Hussain Syed.

“Our all the polling agents were removed from polling stations, setting aside its own laws.”

He said the media was also stopped from covering the elections. “It was all decided.”

Mariyum Aurangzeb said: “the PML-N categorically rejects the election results.” She said the authorities didn’t provide them form-45.

“It’s an attempt to steal people’s mandate.”
