The owner and the manager of a hotel in Peshawar have been booked for killing seven guests.

A family member of the deceased named Humayun, in his statement to the police and court, alleged that his family members were carrying Rs1 million in cash and gold worth 250 grammes.

He accused Aafindi Hotel owner Nasirul Mulk and manager Shehzad Ahmed of setting off a bomb of some sort to get his relatives’ money and gold.

The police said an explosion was reported on the night of May 11 inside the hotel’s room 408. The blast claimed the lives of Mehran, Najmeena, Nargis, Rehmal and Aasaish.

Two others, Kamran and Aamir, succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
