Nearly 5,000 polling stations without water or power

July 20, 2018

The caretaker provincial governments have ignored the election commission’s directives to provide water, power and other facilities at polling stations across the country.

According to reports, nearly 5,000 polling stations will be operating without water, electricity and even boundary walls this election.

Hundreds of polling stations without boundary walls have already been declared sensitive, but the provincial authorities have made no arrangements to facilitate the election staff and voters.
