The year’s first Hajj flight has taken off from Karachi

The first Hajj flight took off on Saturday morning from Karachi for Madina.

Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-7001 left from Karachi carrying over 300 pilgrims under the government’s Hajj scheme early Saturday morning.

Another flight, PK-7003, left from the federal capital to Saudi Arabia with 327 pilgrims.

Ministry of religious affairs and Auqaf officials, airport staff and family members saw off the pilgrims at Jinnah International Airport.

Meanwhile, the first Hajj flight carrying 180 pilgrims also left from Lahore on Saturday.

The pilgrims are being informed about their flight schedule through SMS and they can also view the schedule on the ministry’s website.

Their vaccination has already started at Hajj camps. Pilgrims have been asked to reach Hajj camps two days ahead of their scheduled departure.
