We were told that the backbone of terrorism has been broken but that is not true, said PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

He visited Sarawan House in Quetta on Monday and offered condolences to the family of Nawabzada Siraj Raisani.

He condemned the Mastung carnage, which has claimed 149 lives so far. “The elections will happen and they must be transparent,” he said. According to him, security should be our first priority in the current situation.

He said that the elections are taking place in an environment of fear. “All the parties, including ours, have complained about how the environment is not conducive for election campaigns,” he said.

He urged upon the people to defeat the forces of terrorism with the power of their vote on July 25. “I don’t know about Lashkari Raisani’s demand but our manifesto includes the demand to form a truth commission,” he said.
