PTI leader Naeemul Haq slapped PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz in a TV programme on Tuesday. Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that PTI chief Imran Khan laid the foundation of this culture.
The former PM spoke to journalists outside the accountability court in Islamabad. “Imran Khan is responsible for this culture,” he said. According to him, people have been engaging in violent fights in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. “They have been blaming each other for corruption,” said Mr Sharif. “There is no development in the province that is worth mentioning. There are only lies, sit-ins and accusations.” He added that the entire world is now accepting his narrative.
Haq and Aziz were having an argument on Geo News programme Aapas ki Baat when the PTI leader slapped his opponent for calling him a thief. Another guest speaker, Pakistan Peoples Party's Nafeesa Shah, left the programme after the incident.
Mr Khan has yet to officially react over his party member’s physical assault.
