Tree catches fire after lightning strikes it in Mianwali


MIANWALI: A tree caught fire after lightning struck it in Musakhel, Mianwali on Sunday.

Mianwali received stormy showers yesterday in the afternoon. In the meantime, lightning suddenly hit a tree located near Musakhel on Talagang Road, Mianwali, setting it on fire.

Personnel of Rescue 1122 rushed to the tree and put out the fire as there was a petrol station situated nearby.

Different cities of Punjab received showers coupled with thunderstorm yesterday. A minor girl was killed and 11 people including four children received injuries in different rain-related incidents in Punjab.


Stormy weather also affected flight schedule across the province.

After widespread downpours, mercury scaled down turning the weather pleasant in the province.

Met Office also predicted gusty winds and scattered light rains in upper areas of the province during next 48 hours.
